I went through the Temple today—very impressed with the tremendous responsibilities I took on my shoulders there.  Knew that there would be a great many new things required of me after receiving endowments—I was afraid to accept them—but the Lord holds out great and wonderful blessings, of which I can’t start to understand, if we enter covenants with him.  Was in the temple 8 hours—went through again for a Francis Cady born 1766—Elders Shumard, Pratt and Webb and myself spent about 2-1/2 hours trying to learn the first discussion.  Pratt knows it all.  There is no hot water in this place (MISSION HOME IN SLC). Today is the only day we’ve had any time to breathe around here!  I set a challenge for myself to have the 1st discussion learned by tonight but I’ve only got a rough idea of the first 6 conclusions. Saturday I flew down here to S.L.C.  Took a limousine to the Mission Home and checked in.

This is the first time there has been a let up in classes. Got a letter from Bob Gilmore today.  Last class today—“Science and Religion” very interesting lecture.  Excellent teacher.
