McKay—a grandson of the Prophet McKay. We read the news in the International paper. Really did a dumb, ignorant, stupid, crazy thing Monday. Bought a slang dictionary for $10.00 when I’m trying to save money and need to buy a new umbrella which I broke recently—besides I got took in the book deal—the back was a little broken and someone had been thumbing their greasy fingers through it. Oh well. Live and learn, I hope. REPENT. Had a fast go-around with Mr. Forbras. Got him started and studying the gospel and searching to find out if the Lord lives and answered prayers. Fine family, really sharp. Would make a fabulous baptism. By the way, I want to baptize. Elder Morrill is coming along well. He doesn’t hate everybody now. Gave his 1st F.C. (first contact) Sunday to a student—him and Goodwin—the greenie. We placed a Book this morning and had to fight off another placement tonight. Somebody’s always cheating me out of B of M placements!!!! Another Negro Family—VERY SHARP!
