But the people that don’t need correcting and chastisement are the ones that are the good strong members. And they seem to take it all in stride and to change and grow even more for it. The branche de Seraing is starting is starting to perk up. They’re restarting the S.A.M. (Societé d’Amélioration Mutuel….Mutual Improvement Association back then…now called YM/YW) again this coming Wednesday at 7:30pm.
The District Leaders are going to attend but we’re going to teach Frère Colen a 2nd discussion chez lui (at his home), and try to have a show down with his wife—parce que (because)—she is such a thorn in his side. We haven’t even met her yet. She was home once when we visited but she wouldn’t even come out of the kitchen to say ‘hi’. We’re teaching the Lycops family with 12 children. It looks good but the Father will have a hard time giving up his cigarettes.
Today marks the first day that there hasn’t been a cloud in the sky. Elder DeCoursey says, “That’s super natural!” It’s been so cold and wet here since I arrived that I’ve been wearing long johns since, well, until last Saturday.
