Dear Diary—
Hi. This last week was a real humdinger—folksinger. Started out with Member Conference on Sunday, the Missionary Conference - Liège and Bruxelles Zones. The Apostle Romney was presiding. The minute Elder Romney walked into the Sunday morning Priesthood meeting I could tell that a spiritual giant was in our midst. After 3 or 4 lines of speaking, I knew he was an apostle and special witness of Jesus Christ. In Priesthood he chastised the Brethren for not doing their home teaching. His Sunday morning general session talk was, I thought, his best talk. I’ve got it all in my notes but he talked of reading the scriptures when he was a lawyer for 12 years —he read B of M 9 times — to see if he could be a lawyer and still be an honest man.. He did it. At the end of those 12 years he was made an apostle. We were beat for the rest of the week after 5am to 11pm or later conferences. We beat our heads in on doors using the “Romney Approach”. I think we warned and touched the hearts of more people by this direct “We’re two messengers of the Lord” approach. I got chastised by Wrathal and Morgan Saturday for being too sarcastic on the doors. I hope I can improve that. Morgan is a very smart kooky. He speaks beautiful French.
