Met Weibell and Webb and straightened out travel plans (I hope) through Paris and Spain. Packer had everyone well screwed up in their flight plans.  Pearson managed to get himself lost all day long. I’d still like to know what that young man did all day.  I saw Sister Loratiaux from Waterloo as well as Sister LaFollette and her daughters after the parade at 3:00pm. Also saw the Spencers from Waterloo. He’s from Portland and was one of our investigators. Small world. It’s a wonder I didn’t see Massants. They were probably there!!!  The kissing circles and dancing circles and chains continued all day and all night. The gilles (mummers) paraded. I used up all my film before two hours was up almost. Around 3:00pm the oranges really started to fly.  It was really wild. I felt a festive but generally friendly, amusing, good natured spirit there.  Although after, later at night, there was a little fighting. I saw two guys try to hurt each other and they couldn’t do it. There were fireworks at night and the crowd got heavier and bigger.  I got separated completely from the rest of the missionaries about 8:30 when I went up to the train station
