BLOOD PRESSURE IS RISING IN RESIDENCE SANGHA. Parents sent $100 about a week ago.  But since it isn’t going to be enough I sent a telegram asking them to send another hundred.  I sent a telegram because the time was way too short that a letter wouldn’t have reached them in time. They received the telegram and a previously sent letter after getting home from a Seattle trip. They sent a telegram of $200.00 by Western Union who said they couldn’t guarantee delivery because it was turned over to American Express after it hit Europe.  Monday I received a letter from home telling me that they had sent the money—telegrammed the $200.00—(I just handed Elder Fulmer my last 20FF) And if I hadn’t received the $200.00 long before the letter arrived I was to get right on someone’s tail and find out where it was. Well, I’ve been trying but I don’t know if American Express or the P.T.T. (French Post office) has the money. I’ve got both ends working on it. But it is really ironic that you can send an airmail letter to France that will arrive several ahead of wired money. It looks like the French postal system just might get the last laugh. Dunkerque is out of the picture now (I had hoped to stop by and visit).  5-6 hours traveling & I don’t have money. Monday we gave a super FC to 50 young student nurses and a nun. The greatest!
