We baptized Soeur Hans today. That was my first baptism. Also Elder DeCoursey’s first since he turned Senior Companion The meeting was very unorganized and unplanned so we had a planning/self evaluation session when we got home. “A great man never makes the same mistake twice!” We hope to learn from our problems today. Frère Colen, one of our golden contacts, was at the service along with the missionaries. Boy, we’ve got to get the branch fired up and active and fellowshipping our contacts. I baptized and assisted along with our District Leader Elder Smith in confirming Soeur Hans.

Our planning session Saturday night with President Mochamps was very good. I’m beginning to have a greater respect. He has quite a lot going for him. But what really won my support was a talk he gave last Sunday, yesterday, in Sacrament Meeting. He didn’t really bite in his chastisement of the branch members but he showed them ‘a better way’. The members that really needed the talk were and are, of course, never the ones that attend their meetings.
