Frère Mochamps is the Branch President and he’s only 24 and his brother and their wives form the leadership of the branch. We’re working with S. Hans, Frère Raphael, a young Italian of 18-20 who plays in a yé-yé band (yay yay…Beatles).
He’s in a bad influence as far as being brought into the church but he’s searching for the truth and he can become baptized if he can be strong enough to commit himself to pray and attend church. It will be hard to throw off his Catholic strong family ties and his group of friends. Very hard. But if he does and when he does, he will be such a strong member. He’ll be a great priesthood bearer here in Belgium. And a way of bringing the gospel unto his people in Italy. I pray for the growth of the Italian Mission and for all the European missions. There has been a change in the mission since President Paramore took the helm. And also especially with the influence of the Elders who have gone through the Language Training Mission. They’re so much more prepared and ready to teach the gospel. Well time is very short. Must go. Member conference Sunday in Bruxelles. Missionary Conference on Monday.
