Page 117 19 January 1971 Sunday night

My how time does pass!  I’ve been trying to write in this thing for so long.  Last week was the peut-on dire hebdomedaire (weekly) trip to Charleroi.  BP meeting at night was quite up lifting.  Got to see the President, receive counsel from the Brethren helped me get started out on the right track.  The mattress was a real bite—hardly slept seemed like.

Valenciennes BP Parkin was there, too. Hit up ol Dislaire to send me 1st day emission (first day issued) stamps—ça, alors!  We finally got missionary work off the ground with 4 FCs, taught one lesson and there is another first next week (with a baker, our friend). Speaking of fat-old missionaries, yes I have 54 days left.  It is very hard to keep a good hard-working missionary-like exemplary attitude these last few weeks. But I’ll do my best. I got a little upset over “Ce n’est pas le peine!”  (It’s not worth the pain) But I’ll just have to keep it cool. Weather has been so fine lately. Will it last til March 12th?  STAY TUNED!!
