FRÈRE COLEN BAPTISM FOR 2nd AUGUST
Today is Mardi (Tuesday) but I was a little sick this morning so we’ve just been laying around the apartment. We went to the Branche Fête yesterday and had a lot of fun. Yesterday the 21st, was the Belge National Independence Day. the Branche de Seraing went tromping around in the woods. We had some salami sandwiches which I think were the cause of my maladies today. As we were returning home from the fête we overtook Frère Colen coming up to our apartment an hour early for a 4th lesson. So we ushered him in, started teaching him our grubbies. We were so beat after that lesson and running around in the brush all day that we just flopped out on the beds.
I tried to read some from the D&C but I just wasn’t in the Spirit or strong enough to hack it so I wrote a letter to Mike Jensen. He’s someone I had a respect and love for even though he’s not or never did lead me in the right ways. But I’ve got a brotherly love for him anyway. The thing I’d like to do for him most is to get him back into the Gospel. He knows it’s true but he’s just got to repent.
I don’t know what’s going to happen to S. Sauveur She wasn’t progressing as fast as E. See wanted her to so we kissed her off—Xed—But the B.P. wanted us to keep teaching her and she was at the Branche Fête. So I can still hope and pray.
