to check our departure times. By the time I got back down to the place, the crowds had increased so much that one couldn’t go where one wanted to. They had turned off the lights so you could appreciate the fireworks but you couldn’t see any missionaries.  So I decided to head back to the train station since it took 15 minutes to crowd your way through to an empty street. I got on the 9:20 train hoping that the others would arrive but not knowing where my companion was. So I arrived at Mons and waited at the train station after finding no one home at the apartment. Well a half hour later the next train comes in from Binche—it’s the last train for the night from Binche. All the missionaries are there…….except Elder Nelson. I guess he spent the night in Binche or else in Bruxelles because there were two trains on those tracks. One to Mons and one to Bruxelles. Who knows. Also the 4 sisters from Bruxelles ended up in Mons instead of taking the Brux train to Bruxelles. But we got them off luckily to Bruxelles…..with only a minimum of lost round trip tickets, etc!
