to teach, supposedly a 1st discussion. When we got there, late, we went around and around with M. Bioke’s friend on his doubting the validity of the Book of Mormon and asking for proof, i.e., parchment scrolls for the Bible, where’s the plates for the B of M? “Oh ye of little faith!” was about all I could think of when he asked so strongly for evidence — “proof” of the Book of Mormon. We could give him volumes upon volumes and ancient artifacts by the tons and photographs and physical testimonies up the______. And still he probably woulnd’t believe them. But what greater testimony can one ask for than the divine testimony of the Saint-Esprit? NONE. Yet he has next to no faith altho he knows the Bible quite well. Well, finally, Elder DeCoursey guided him into the discussion and things started to click much better—I could tell that he was impressed by Elder DeCoursey’s testimony but by this time it was too late to finish the discussion. So that blew that.
I was very happy to see Frère Tarantula out to Sunday School. Although S. Hans and the Lycops failed to show.
