Yesterday was Fast Sunday. I bore my testimony in the regular meeting. At about 3:30 St. Quentin held a special district testimony meeting. It was really a touching meeting. Elder Jensen wasn’t there but I sure enjoyed the testimonies of Elder Shumard and Sister Goff. I came to love and appreciate them much more. Seour Goff really is a “Grand Dame”—great spirit.
We are leaving the Aux Étates Unis May 13th, the day after my birthday by bus at 5:30am from the L.T.M. to S.L.C. Our flight is at 10:30am to Denver. Then to New York and then Brussels.
This week there will be special programs on the theme “Even as I have loved you”. Then Saturday the Zone is going to have a picnic party in a park out near Orem. I’m planning to play the piano for Elder Jensen while he sings “People” from one of Barbra Streisand’s musicals—for part of St. Quentin’s special program.
I’m reading the Bible—Old Testament now and it’s really interesting. I like it. We’re receiving 17 nouveaux this Wednesday so I guess we’ll be having some roommates for the last week here.
